The nitty gritty of business operations

Our community of therapists, employees and animal ambassadors thrives when everyone is aware of how the business operates.

The most important questions answered:

SALARIES/WAGES:

We value our staff contributions.  Our salaries/wages are calculated in line with industry standards and on qualifications, experience and ability to value add to our community.  This includes base salaries/wages plus incentives for performance and discretionary bonuses.

SATURDAY SOCIALS:

Once every term we host a Saturday social activity for our community to provide an opportunity for social engagement.  We expect that staff attend a minimum of two of the four activities to ensure that we socially strengthen our community connection.  A day in lieu is provided for the Saturday worked.

HOLIDAYS:

We have a two week shut down between Christmas and New Year.  All staff are expected to work during our peak times which are January and February when we onboard the majority of our new clients.

All holidays need to be applied for at least 6 weeks prior to the holiday.  We do have the right to refuse holidays if other staff members have already been approved leave during this time.  We need to ensure our community has regular service.

BIRTHDAYS:

Yay!  You get a paid day off for your birthday or you can take it in lieu of another day.

OUR ANIMAL AMBASSADORS:

They are crucial to our community.  At times you may be asked to assist with their varying needs to ensure they are provided with a wonderful life.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Yes - we offer heaps of professional development.  It is your choice if you wish to attend.  If you do not attend the minimum requirement for your profession within our community we will need proof you have attended elsewhere.
